Gas Assist Injection Molding Service
Gas-assisted injection molding is conventional injection molding process, in which compressed gas (nitrogen) is added to inject the part to form a hollow core. It can improve polymer flow, product stiffness, reduce internal stress and warpage. Holly has a professional mold design team to adapt your design to gas. In this way, the gas will follow the correct path, and then the mold can achieve the optimal function and achieve the ideal product. If you need a quote and support, let us show you our capabilities.
Gas Assist Injection Molding Parts
The gas injection must wait until the plastic passes the position of the gas pin for a period of time. If the gas delay time is too short, the gas will blow through and the analysis will stop. If the time is too long, the gas penetration will be insufficient. Holly designers fully consider every detail to ensure product quality. And provide incredible strength for plastic parts. Perfectly meet your requirements.

Gas Assist Injection Molding Manufacturer FAQ
What is gas-assisted injection molding?
The gas-assisted injection molding system directly injects inert gas (usually nitrogen) into the plasticized plastic in the mold cavity through a segmented pressure control system to expand the part and create a hollow space while still maintaining the surface shape of the product.
What is the application of gas-assisted injection molding?
1) Tubular and rod-shaped parts such as door handle, swivel chair supports, hooks, armrests, railings, hangers.
2) Large flat parts, such as door panels, copier housings, dashboards, etc.
3) Complex parts such as bumpers, electrical enclosures, bodywork, etc., with complex shapes, uneven thickness, and defects such as sink marks and stains caused by conventional injection molding processes
What is the principle of gas-assisted injection molding?
Please check the following picture:

What are the advantages of gas-assisted injection molding?
1) A three-dimensional hollow plastic part can be made with an uneven wall thickness using this machine.
2) The gas flows continuously from the gate to the end without pressure loss, and low-pressure injection can be realized so that the molded part has low residual stress, low warpage, and dimensional stability.
3) Gas-assisted injection improves the molding performance of parts due to the air-assisted filling of the mold and helps reduce the weight of thin-walled parts.
4) Due to the lower injection molding pressure, it is possible to mold larger parts in the injection molding machine with a lower clamping force.
What CAD type do you accept?
Our preference is the 3D CAD files, such as STP, STEP, X-T, IGS.
How to get a quotation for the mold cost and part price?
Send us CAD files (such as STEP format), and tell us the quantity, material, surface finish, color, or other requirements you need, then we will check and evaluate, and give you a suggestion for the part design and quote you.
